Role Overview
Alloyed is seeking a dedicated, hands-on Facilities Officer to join our team and support our operations in our Oxfordshire based sites.
The Facilities Officer plays a hands-on role in keeping our manufacturing sites clean, well-maintained, and running smoothly day to day. Working as part of the Infrastructure and Facilities team, you will carry out routine maintenance tasks, ensure shared spaces and welfare facilities are kept to a high standard, and respond promptly to reported faults and requests from colleagues across the sites.
This is a practical, physical role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has a can-do attitude, and enjoys variety in their day.
Responsibilities
Cleaning & Housekeeping
Ensure waste bins are emptied, and waste is sorted and disposed of in line with site recycling and waste management procedures.
Restock consumables in welfare facilities throughout the day.
Ensure shared areas including corridors, stairwells, toilets and kitchen are cleaned to a consistently high standard.
Coordinate with cleaners to ensure that the site is always presentable.
Routine Maintenance & Minor Repairs
Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor fixtures, touching up paintwork, and assembling furniture.
Respond promptly to facilities requests raised by staff.
Carry out regular checks of shared areas internal and external, keeping them clear and safe.
Monitor and report defects or faults that require specialist contractor attention.
Grounds & External Areas
Maintain the external site environment including car parks, walkways, loading bay.
Ensure entrances and emergency exits always remain clear, presentable and safe.
Deliveries & Logistics Support
Assist with the receipt, movement, and storage of facilities-related deliveries and supplies.
Help set up meeting rooms, training areas, and event spaces as required.
Move furniture and equipment around the site as directed.
General Site Support
Enforce all site health and safety rules in shared areas and report any unsafe conditions or near-misses promptly.
Work cooperatively with colleagues, contractors, and visitors, always maintaining a professional and friendly manner.
Carry out any other reasonable facilities duties as requested.

Desired skills
Some previous experience in a cleaning, caretaking, maintenance, or facilities role
Basic DIY or minor repairs experience
Familiarity with working in an industrial or research environment
Full UK driving license and personal vehicle
Willingness to work flexible hours if needed
Forklift license
